Bend's City Council will discuss the creation of a Neighborhood Leadership Alliance committee at its Wednesday, May 2 meeting at City Hall, 710 NW Wall St. The new committee provide a regular and continuing channel of communications between the City Council and the Neighborhood Associations.
Bend has 13 Neighborhood Associations funded by the City. Their purpose is to inform area residents and aid in creating a sense of community and ownership in our city. Boyd Acres N.A. covers the northeast section of Bend from Butler Market Road to Cooley Street on the north and between the Deschutes River and Purcell Blvd. Our neighborhood is a mix of residential, commercial and industrial zones over 4,700 tax lots.
