NEW STUDY SHOWS CAPACITY FOR HOUSING IN BCD
A new study done by GBD Architects shows potential for close to one thousand new housing units with conservative redevelopment in the Bend Central District. As the city faces a serious housing crisis, these new estimates show how catalyzing redevelopment through urban renewal projects in the BCD could add housing options for residents.
The City Council approved an urban renewal plan for the Central Business District at the April 18 meeting. Video of the meeting is posted on the city web site. www.bendoregon.gov
The hope is such building will help the affordable housing shortage in our town.
