City Manager Eric King shared the results of the Community Survey in a recent memo to City Council. The results of the survey indicate residents are satisfied with City services, especially water quality. Transportation and housing are still priorities.
Thousands of Bend residents answered a phone survey or took the on line version. If you lived here more than 4 years, your answers may have shown a change in your perception of Bend. It is still considered a good place to live, but less so than in previous years.
Affordable housing and transportation were the top issues listed as priorities for the City to address. Long term planning was identified as needed.
Survey responses will be used to determine how the City Council and administration focus in the coming year.
BANA provided responses to the survey and presented at a City Council meeting. In addition to transportation and housing, the Board also pointed out the need to update the Emergency Response Plan and conduct an exercise.
The recent issue with Avion Water was an example of how emergency notification needs updating.
