January 24th is the annual survey of houseless persons in Deschutes County. Dubbed the Point In Time survey the effort seeks to determine how many persons  are living: on the street; in a shelter, in vehicles or RVs; in barns and sheds or couch surfing. The survey aids in determining what resources are needed to help such persons.  

Last year's count identified more than 1000 persons.
