Mayor Sally Russell seeks broader representation of Bend’s residents in the Neighborhood Associations. She has challenged each NA to submit three candidates for selection for the Neighborhood Leadership Alliance (NLA).
BANA has almost 400 members on our email list. But every resident and business owner within the Boyd Acres NA boundaries is eligible to be a member. All one has to do is sign up.
We invite new residents to join when we send the Welcome card to each new owner of record. There is an outreach program for businesses, especially small businesses.
It is up to you, our residents and entrepreneurs to activate your membership so you may receive notice of meetings, get the news on our website and participate in meetings and activities. The BANA Board has continued its activities during the pandemic to keep you informed of developments, city policies and activities.
Now BANA needs new members, new officers and people willing to serve on the NLA.
The time commitment is not onerous, but the position does involve attending meetings and perhaps serving on a committee. If you have questions, contact Kathy Roche, our current NLA representative.
Help BANA be the robust community it can be by lending your time and talent to the board. Let’s show Mayor Russell that BANA residents and businesses care about this community and want to work with the City Council to make it a good place to live and work.
Positions include: chair, co chair, secretary, treasurer and communications.
