Oregon Is Not Meeting Our Goals to Reduce Greenhouse Gases

State Agencies are Developing Action Plans

The Land Conservation and Development Commission will host a meeting October 26 at Noon to begin explaining how cities can reduce carbon emissions and become Climate Friendly Areas.  This is a complex program involving 13 state agencies and a citizen advisory group.
The Commission invites Bend residents to join the conversation.

In order to comply with Executive Order 20-04 directing state agencies to reduce climate pollution, the Land conservation and development Commission initiated rulemaking to update Oregon's rules for metropolitan areas.  The project aims to improve Oregon's rules for transportation and housing to support more liveable communities.
