Hi Joette and Gena,
Thank you for your email. The agreement from Bend City Council to explore the siting of a temporary transitional shelter site occurred on Oct 21. It was the first step in the process. Carolyn Eagan is the lead staff person. She is meeting with the BANA Board on Friday Oct 30 at 10am. Councilors have been invited to join that that meeting. Following that meeting, I would expect that the BANA Board will hold a neighborhood meeting and may hold several. Carolyn is also i n contact with several HOAs in the area and is participating in their meetings as well.
You can find more information about the project here. You can also sign up for an interested parties email list so that you can get regular updates.
We want to hear your feedback. That is one of Carolyn’s roles. She’ll listen to your concerns and assist you, as needed, in bringing your concerns back to the City Council and to me.
The Juniper Ridge Management Advisory Board (JRMAB) had a very specific charge from Council to make recommendations regarding the efficient development of Juniper Ridge to meet the City’s comprehensive plan employment goal for the 500 acres. The information about the proposal will be shared with them on Monday Nov 2. Like your concerns, Carolyn and other staff, will listen to the concerns of the JRMAB members and bring those to Council and to me.
I hope that helps. Take care,
