Notification of Planning Commission Public Hearing regarding HB 2001

Applicant: City of Bend

Bend Comprehensive Plan Amendment changes relating to the implementation of Oregon House Bill-2001 is required by state law per recent legislation. This legislation will be adopted into the Bend Comprehensive Plan and codified into the Bend Development Code allowing multi-family housing units (includes duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes, townhomes and cottage clusters) into all residential zones. The amendments will apply to Housing, Growth Management, Residential Districts, Commercial Districts, Mixed-Use, Refinement Plans, Area Plans, Master Plans, Lots, Blocks, Access, Landscaping, Trees, Fences, Walls, Parking, Use Standards, Development Alternatives, Review Procedures, Development Standards, Development Standards, Design Review and more. Note: All city residents should seriously consider commenting (written or oral) on this legislation and subsequent proposed changes to the Bend Comprehensive Plan and Bend Development Code. 

The City of Bend will be holding a “virtual” public hearing before the Planning Commission on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 5:30 pm.  Attendance instructions will be on the meeting agenda which will be posted at prior to the hearing.
