A local pastor formed a group to help the community during this time of crisis.

This community response, started by First Presbyterian Church pastor Morgan Schmidt, has grown in the last week to a corps of over 9000 volunteers ready to help with meals, shopping, errands, etc. The group uses social media to connect those who can help with those in need. We can weather this storm by helping one another through organizations such as this and the Community Organizations Active in Disaster COAD under the auspices of the Deschutes County sheriff's office.
